ANOTHER trend on Facebook, their milkshakes topped with
cakes dubbed as “Freak Shakes” has been appearing in my news feed for a couple
of weeks now that caught my attention.
So together with a friend, we came, we waited and we
tried.
Location
This little cake shop is located in between the pomelo
fruit stands named “C.J. Anito” and Peridot Fruit Mart” in Madrazo compound, C.
Bangoy Street (also known as Ponciano).

The long line of curious people (including us) |
The Waiting Experience
We went there on a Saturday afternoon an hour and 30
minutes before their opening time but it was still not enough as there is
already a long line of people waiting outside.
|
We got number 4! |
A few minutes
before opening time, one of their staff would go outside to hand out priority
numbers which you have to fight for if you went early like we did (shoutout to
the sneaky girls who lied about being early). Their staff would also get your
orders ahead so it’s all ready when it’s your turn.

Inside the shop (Photo from their Facebook Page) |
This is because their shop only has a limited space for
now with only three tables. Freak Shakes
is for dine-in customers only while other pastries they sell can be for
take-out.

Looking too good to eat. *heart *heart |
Freak Shakes and Pastries
Their Freak Shakes priced at P170 was such a beaut! It’s
too pretty to eat! I got the strawberry milkshake with red velvet cake on top
while my friend, Ate Mariz, got the chocolate shake with chocolate moist cake
as toppings.

Me and Ate Mariz :) |
Confex & Co’s Freak Shakes was so good! For me, that
was one of the best red velvet cake and milk shake that I have tried. Yum! Yum!
|
Cupcakes and Revel Bars |
We also got some of their available cupcakes priced at
P35 each and their revel bar P25 which you can also opt for as pastry toppings
for your Freak Shakes. Ate Mariz and I ended up taking the cupcakes home
because out tummies were already full.

We shared a table with this little cutie and she loves her Freak Shake too! |
Confex & Co Bakehouse is open on Tuesdays to Sundays
from 3 pm to 9 pm. Follow them on Facebook.
With their great selections and fame on social media, I
am looking forward for the cake shop’s expansion and for more of their pastry
creations!
