SELF LOVE may sound negative as it is directly related to being selfish but that’s not the case here, instead, for this New Year other than spending time taking care of other things than you. I encourage you to include a time to take a step back and take care of yourself too.
For
this year’s first column entry, I am sharing a few ways on how you can love
yourself more to become your best version this 2018.
Take care of your health
I
have discussed on health a ton of times in my previous articles but I cannot
stress this enough so here I am again reminding you and myself to always put
our health on top of our list. This is not just for reaching body goals but
investing on our health also means that we get a chance to live a longer and a
more productive life.
Start
small by reducing your soda intake or by starting to eat more home-cooked meals
rather than eating fast food. Add some exercise to that and you will thank
yourself late on.
Invest on further education
Yes,
we do learn new things at work every day but investing on further studies sharpens
our minds and improves our discipline as we are again faced with school work
deadlines. Other than knowledge add on, finishing further studies is also good
for your resume and is helpful for your career advancement later on.
Spend on travel/experience
While
we can spend on buying stuff for ourselves, why not include travel or other
experiences such as climbing a mountain or diving perhaps to your bucket list
for the year? Travelling makes us view the world in a different angle, see new
sights and it also enables us to meet new people along the way. We are all
getting older so let’s explore while we and our bodies can!
This
year, let us do our best to invest more in ourselves, that way we can share all
the good vibes and spread more love!
